About Us
Our Unwavering Commitment to Guiding You Toward Financial Security and Success
My name is Lee Parkin. I have 30 years of experience in financial services working for some big companies like HSBC and Legal & General, as well as developing some smaller ones into award winners like Brilliant Solutions. Since leaving Brilliant Group in May 2025 I have been looking at ways to continue to help people get what they want from the financial services market. I am a father of two teenagers and just entered my 50s…… I have a lot of life experience and an understanding of finance to go with it. I am involved with a number of sports clubs and my family has a strong history in the administration and running of such organisations over the years which means I have had exposure to what it takes and specifically the financial requirements of running a strong club/organisation. My love of, in particular sports and team sports, means that anything I was going to do was going to involve giving back to these organisations at the same time.
My Career has meant I have met many wonderful colleagues along the way, many of whom have influenced my career and I have also managed hundreds if not thousands of people in a variety of roles that I have been lucky enough to have been challenged to perform.
I have managed in excess of one hundred people at points in my career also and I know I have had an influence in helping others achieve career goals and advancement…..
I am proud of many individuals that have gone on to grow as a result. In addition I have been involved in project management and change management involving everything from IT and telephony to cultural shift within a business unit. My responsibilities have given me experience in compliance, including advice compliance, process change, efficiency, cost saving, coaching, training and more…
When I made what will be the final change to my career in deciding to leave Brilliant Group in May, it was always going to be to do what I enjoyed. I enjoy helping people and making sure they get what they want/need. I am a good communicator and understand people, having worked with so many over the years. I take an interest in people and what drives them. I am a great listener above everything else which allows me to help. My naturally analytical and logical thinking allows me to find root causes, and my open minded approach to solutions helps me to find the right course of action and engage those involved in implementing it.

Our Business Approach (In Lee's One Words)
My Ethos
I am a qualified Mortgage Adviser myself, but as I look to start out on my own I am not looking to be using those qualifications to give mortgage advice myself. The reason for that is that I am looking to spend more of my time helping people find the right financial adviser for their needs. I know I can do it but I believe that I can help more people by leveraging my connections to colleagues I have worked with, developed and have come to trust in the industry.
My Why
This way I can reach more people and help more people, even though it is not as financially rewarding personally…..this is not my driver, giving back is.Financial advice, and even mortgage advice has become very specialist over recent years with the world changing so rapidly. All too often it seems daunting to the untrained eye and people find it hard to find and trust an adviser.
How I Can Bridge That Gap
Sometimes because of the style of communication of the adviser or their knowledge – it may be that you are looking for a mortgage but within the mortgage market there are areas of specialism which certain advisers have but others do not – this can often mean either an adviser doesn’t want to advise on a specific specialism or doesn’t know how. This then affects trust and so finding the right person to understand your needs in the first place becomes absolutely key. This is what I do.
Why Choose LP Financial Consulting?
My connections built over 30 years in the industry and my understanding of all the complexities of it…..and who is best to go to. In addition I am going to tie up with local organisations that will make a difference to the lives of the clients I serve…….and when the clients come to me, they start to help the organisation to generate income to pay for equipment, awards, kit etc that may be needed to run it and improve it.
